Community Exercise Transition

More people in motion. More places. More often.

Since 2008, the Steadward Centre Community Exercise Transition program has worked to support increased independence, foster self-determination and promote inclusion for people with disability through physical activity, fitness and sport.

The Community Exercise Transition team works to support these goals through presentations, consultation, workshops and by facilitating training in Adapted Physical Activity. We connect with community organizations, fitness facilities, researchers in physical activity and individuals across Alberta and Canada. We work to meet the specific needs of each facility, community or individual.

What does the Community Exercise Transition program do?

The TSC Community Exercise Transition program works to ease a person's transition from rehabilitation and specialized fitness programs to community programs close to home.
